The Turnstone Alliance Board Committee (‘TABC’), consists of the various Heads of Turnstone Alliance companies. The TABC, which answers to the management board, coordinates and oversees all businesses and regions within the company, as well as:
- provide current information on business developments and particular transactions;
- regularly review business segments;
- consult with and furnish advice to the board on strategic decisions; and
- prepare decisions to be made by the board.
Heinrich Odendaal

Chairman, The Turnstone Group
Heinrich is a co-founder and CEO of the Dölberg Group as well as Chairman of the Turnstone Group. He practised as an attorney in South Africa before being admitted as an Advocate of the High Court. He specialised in international taxation and he is the co-author of various books on international investments and taxation.
Heinrich serves on the boards of a number of companies and is a board member of charitable organisations in both Mauritius and South Africa. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the International Practice Group (IPG).
Roelf Odendaal

Roelf is a co-founder of Turnstone and CEO of the Turnstone Group. He has a management accountant background. Roelf has focused Turnstone on three core businesses: private wealth management, institutional clients and fund management services. Under his leadership, the Turnstone Group has expanded significantly into multiple jurisdictions to ensure a global footprint.
Prior to joining Turnstone, Roelf was employed by a South African listed group. He specialises in trust and company administration. Roelf is a director on all the group companies of Turnstone and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Hanna Marais

Managing Director Turnstone South Africa
Hanna is the Managing Director of Turnstone South Africa. She has extensive experience in the financial services industry in South Africa and is licensed by the Financial Services Board. Prior to joining Turnstone, Hanna managed a successful financial services company for 10 years. During her 22 years in the financial services industry in South Africa, she was employed by major listed financial services companies where she received various accolades for the services that she rendered. She was also the manager of Turnstone’s representative office for a number of years.
Hanna is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the International Practice Group (IPG).
Brian Hatton

Brian became an associate member of the Institute of Financial Services in 1979, having completed the Institute of Bankers Trustee Diploma in that year. Since 1973 he has spent his career in the professional executor and trust industry, moving offshore in 1983 to the Isle of Man where he has been based ever since, apart from a three-year period spent in the Cayman Islands. Brian has specialised in the administration of most kinds of offshore trusts and has accumulated significant and broad experience in the application of offshore trust and company structures for private as well as institutional clients.
Brian has gained his trust and estate administration, family management and wealth planning experience at manager and director’s level in the UK, Isle of Man and the Cayman Islands, for institutions such as Singer & Friedlander, Merrill Lynch, Coutts & Co and Bank of Bermuda (now HSBC). For almost five years, Brian was the Founder/Managing Director of a successful privately owned trust company in the Isle of Man, prior to joining the Dölberg Group to set up its multi family office business, something for which he continues to take responsibility.
