Turnstone Corporate Trustees Namibia (Pty) Ltd is proudly part of the international Turnstone Alliance – an international fiduciary services group, which the Namibian chapter joined in 2011, as a logical move to compliment the range of jurisdictions available within the Alliance.
Namibia boasts the best overall quality of infrastructure in Africa (World Economic Forum survey) and is ranked 25th worldwide. With its well established financial services sector and easy access to all modern amenities at par with any first world country, Namibia is known for its financial and political stability it attained after gaining independence from South Africa in 1990.
With its simplistic source based taxation regime, Namibia is the ideal jurisdiction to hold investments globally and especially in South Africa – ordinary dividends are tax-free, no Capital Gains or Inheritance/Donations Taxes and generally no taxes are levied on income derived outside of Namibia.
Namibia is part of the Southern African Development Community, the Southern African Customs Union and is also part of the Common Monetary Area which includes South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland. The Namibian Dollar is linked 1:1 to the South African Rand and is subject to the same Foreign Exchange Control Regulations as the South African Rand; however these regulations are softened annually and will eventually disappear entirely.

Turnstone Namibia is a joint venture company created by Turnstone International, one of the largest local independent accounting practices and a well-established legal practice in Namibia. - registration of Trusts, Companies and Close Corporations (with shelf companies available for immediate use);
- registration of all business entities and individuals for Value-Added Tax, Income Tax and Provisional Tax;
- PAYE, Social Security and Workmen’s Compensation in order to comply with local legislation;
- maintaining all company secretarial records as required by statute, attending to share transfers, changes in Share Capital and submission of company returns to the Registrar of Companies;
- appointment and removal of directors and Trustees, reservation of defensive names; and
- any other company secretarial matter.
